CMR Institute (Roanoke, VA), the only nationally recognized training program for certifying medical representatives and managers, has developed a new training program called 4C (for “Core Competencies, Capabilities and Credibility”). It is an addition to the Institute’s programs for certified medical representatives (CMR) and certified pharmaceutical manager (CPM).

The program consists of 35 “learning modules” designed to be taken as distance-learning courses at a pace and schedule of the student’s own choosing. It is said to be up-to-date with the latest state regulations, such as the District of Columbia’s SafeRx Act or Massachusetts’ Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturer Conduct Regulation. The program can be completed in approximately 30 hours, and, upon successful completion of testing, a certificate of professional competency is granted.

CMR Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 1966 expressly for training medical reps.
