DHL builds a mobile app to track cold-chain shipments

LifeTrack app puts shipment status in the palm of your hand

Current customers of DHL Thermonet and LifeConex services, which DHL Global Forwarding has had on the market for several years now, are able to access the app with their same credentials as the web browser version. Once logged in, the application shows shipment details including routing, movement milestones and potential interventions. Upon completion of key logistical events or detection of potential irregularities, the app informs the user and also provides details about measures taken where required. In case further support is needed, DHL’s cold chain advisors can be contacted 24/7 directly from the app.

The company says that the LifeTrack app complements the other mobile solutions that DHL Global Forwarding, Freight launched in recent years to strengthen their client’s efficiency and increase transparency over the shipments. Among those are DHL ActiveTracing to track and trace groupage shipments, and the Cargo Mobile Tracking app to trace sea and air freight shipments.

The app is available at the online stores for IOS and Android apps.
