Pelican BioThermal rebrands as Peli BioThermal
As customer base grows, packaging company decides to wrap global divisions under one name
Pelican BioThermal, a temperature-controlled packaging company, has officially rebranded worldwide as Peli BioThermal. The change to the company’s brand name is effective immediately and a new website will be launching in the coming weeks, with further brand changes coming throughout 2021.
After developing its biopharma division via acquisitions from 2012 to 2014, Pelican Products, Inc. of Torrance, CA, rebranded the division as Pelican BioThermal in the Americas and Peli BioThermal in Europe. Until recently, these names supported Pelican’s existing brands and served their purposes in terms of establishing a market-specific presence for Pelican, but the company is continuing to grow internationally, especially in terms of customer base.
“Customers who use our products and services operate in many different markets across the world,” says David Williams, Peli BioThermal's president. “One name creates consistency for them and firmly positions us as a brand they recognize and trust, regardless of location.”
The company plans on launching additional offerings, such as thermal shippers, rental programs, outsourcing services and new technology that connects all facets of the cold chain for its customers.
