Company approaches one million sq. ft. of warehouse capacity for pharma sampling programs

J. Knipper & Co, the US leader in outsourced sample fulfillment in life sciences, has opened the doors on its newest facility, a 313,000-sq. ft. distribution center in Charlestown, IN. The facility has capacity for 22,000 pallets of products, as well as 5,000 sq. ft. of dedicated refrigerated space for cold chain storage. The company notes that the location is in close proximity to the UPS WorldPort in Louisville, KY, and about two hours from FedEx’s international hub in Indianapolis. High-volume, high-speed features include a full battery of pick-to-light flow racks, integrated conveyors and a cross-dock infrastructure for rapid sorting, containing and redistribution of bulk products and materials.

“We are thrilled at this opportunity to serve many of our customers even more efficiently based on their unique distribution patterns”, says Knipper’s president and COO, Mike Laferrera. “Other areas of enhanced service that we have planned for 2017 include expanding our print management and direct marketing lines of business, providing tailored services for new pharma startups and early stage operations, and broadening our patient services offerings.”

In addition to the Charlestown facility, Knipper maintains fulfillment services from Carlstadt, NJ and its headquarters in Lakewood, NJ, along with a contact center in Lawrenceville, NJ. Besides basic fulfillment services, it provides direct-to-practitioner and direct-to-consumer distribution programs, direct marketing, HCP data services and salesforce compliance and productivity services.
