McKesson's Paul Julian is HDMA's 2015 Nexus winner
Diana awards for Apotex, Eisai, Depomet and Bayer Healthcare in manufacturing
AT HDMA’s annual Leadership Conference (San Antonio, June 9-11), the association awarded Paul Julian, EVP and group president of McKesson, with its Nexus Award for Lifetime Achievement, recognizing his accomplishments and leadership in HDMA itself. Julian has served as a member of HDMA’s Board of Directors from 2000–2013, and from 2008 until 2010, as HDMA chairman. He also served as the Chairman of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS).
The event also features the Distribution Industry Awards for Notable Achievements in Healthcare (or DIANA awards), for branded, biotech and generic manufacturers, as well as OTC suppliers and industry service providers. As HDMA Manufacturer members, Apotex and Eisai were the small-company and large-company winners, respectively; as general manufacturers, top awardees were Depomed and Bayer Healthcare. Best new products introduced in the past year from Takeda, Novo Nordisk and Teva. Berry Plastics/Kerr Prescription took the award as best service provider.
