A spate of life sciences cold-chain meetings are scheduled for early 2015; “early bird” discounts are already in effect for some of them.

The International Air Transportation Assn. (IATA) is holding its annual World Cargo Summit in Shanghai, China, during March 10-12. That event—which is for anyone in air cargo—draws over 1000 attendees. The Shanghai meeting will have both a dedicated track on “pharmaceuticals management” as well as one on ULD (unit load device) operations, specifically, active, temperature-controlled ULDs for pharmaceuticals. A US company, Q1 Productions (Chicago) is hold a Pharmaceutical and Biotech Packaging Design and Engineering Conference, Jan. 29-30, in Philadelphia. The meeting is expected to hold sessions on temperature-controlled packaging. More details at www.q1productions.com.
