Acquires Sweden-based Sentor, which specializes in security services

Accenture, a professional services company specializing in digital, cloud and security, has purchased Sentor, an independent provider of cyber defense and managed security services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sentor’s HQ is located in Stockholm, Sweden. The company’s portfolio consists of advisory services, security testing, managed detection and incident-response capabilities, run by a security operations center. Its client base spans multiple industries, ranging from healthcare to manufacturing.

The company’s approximately 80 cybersecurity professionals will be joining the Accenture Security team in Sweden, which will help to further extend Accenture’s local resources and capabilities and also tend to the demand for local cybersecurity and managed security services.

“With the daily barrage of cyberattacks, it’s time for organizations to take a new view on managing cyber risks,” notes Kelly Bissell, who leads Accenture Security globally. “Securing a business ecosystem can’t be piecemeal; it takes the right talent, investments and technology know-how. The acquisition of Sentor further expands our ability to help clients match this challenging cybersecurity environment. We are excited about what we can achieve together to help organizations in Sweden become more resilient.”
