Antares Vision, Edgyn Collaborate on Digital Product Authentication

Track-and-trace provider will be incorporating fingerprinting tech into its line

Antares Vision Group, a provider of track-and-trace systems for several fields including the life sciences, and Edgyn (formerly Arjo Solutions), a brand protection provider that created a patented form of digital fingerprinting technology, have formed a strategic alliance to provide authentication tech. As a result, Antares will be integrating Edgyn’s solution into its production line, cloud, and mobile applications.

Edgyn’s branded fingerprinting technology, which has been applied to more than 1.7 billion products since 2014, creates a unique digital fingerprint for every package—an invisible, undetectable signature based on a product’s physical characteristics. Antares Vision Group brings aboard its knowledge in connecting physical products to digital infrastructures across the supply chain, from production and packaging lines to partner networks.

“The partnership comes at a pivotal time for the pharmaceutical industry; companies realized that solutions for serialization and traceability can be further empowered with authentication solutions to address the issues of counterfeiting and falsified products,” says Aurélien Tignol, Edgyn CEO.
