Asembia AXS26: Jessica Lovett on the RWE That Matters Most

Live from Asembia AXS26, Jessica Lovett explains what real world evidence and data matters most in making decisions around specialty medicines.

In the first part of her interview with Pharmaceutical Commerce, live from Asembia AXS26, Jessica Lovett, VP of Commercial Strategy and Innovation at Innomar Strategies, shares her perspective on where the most valuable real-world data are coming from today in support of specialty medicines. Lovett shared her insights at the conference's session "Unlocking Value and Access: The Power of RWE in the Product Lifecycle to Maximize Patient Benefit," which explored how real-world evidence can be applied across every stage of a specialty therapy's lifecycle, from early development and clinical trials through regulatory submissions and post-market evaluation, with the ultimate goal of maximizing benefit for patients.

Lovett identifies two primary buckets of valuable real-world data. The first is patient support programs, which she views through both a Canadian and global market lens. These programs offer a robust opportunity to gather data directly from patients, yielding meaningful insights into health outcomes and access priorities. Where that data is unavailable or needs to be supplemented, she points to patient registries as a powerful complement. In the Canadian market specifically, Lovett notes that there are strong opportunities to leverage registry data to track continuity of care and follow patients sequentially across their full treatment journey, collecting the evidence needed to support better decisions and outcomes going forward.
