Offers over 100,000 square feet of pharma temperature-controlled storage

Bolloré Solutions Logistiques (BSL), a subsidiary of Bolloré Logistics that specializes in contract logistics, has opened its first logistics center dedicated to the pharma industry at France’s Strasbourg Airport. This approximate 108,000 square-foot temperature-controlled logistics center has been providing high value-added services for the flow of pharma products since January of this year.

The whole project took only nine months to complete. The site features two 54,000 square-foot cells that are temperature-controlled at +2°/+8°C, +15°/+25°C and -20°C. These cells are reserved for storage and logistics operations including processing air and sea export flows.

There are two pharmacists permanently on site to ensure that operations are processed in accordance with the public health code and good distribution and manufacturing practices. ISO 13485 certification for medical devices was awarded last September.

“We are proud to have invested in this pharmaceutical platform, which is now the largest in our network. Our ambition for BSL is to continue our investments in Europe with the creation of other logistics centers enabling us to support all our customers, regardless of the sector, in the overhaul of their supply chain,” notes Laurent Foloppe, managing director of Bolloré Solutions Logistiques.
