CMP, a company that specializes in the production of inspection systems for the pharma industry, has welcomed a new location in Vicenza, Italy. CMP’s parent company, Marchesini Group, is investing $7.4 million into the 54,000 square-foot site, with more than half of that being used for production.

As far back as 1982, a little more than 10 years after its incorporation, CMP introduced an automatic ampoule inspection machine with laser lighting onto the market. Since then, CMP has consolidated its position by establishing a product portfolio which now includes various inspection machines, not only for ampoules but also for vials, pre-filled syringes, and freeze-dried products.

By now being under Marchesini Group umbrella, CMP can now contribute its inspection machines to larger production lines, including those used by Big Pharma for packaging COVID-19 vaccines and cancer drugs.
