Pharmaceutical cargo has long been the gold standard of security measures in shipping. The industry knows it has a much lower risk tolerance and higher liability exposure than most industries, so it’s often the first to adopt the latest technology and invest in layered protections. The investment has paid off, because despite being one of the most aggressively targeted product types by organized cargo thieves, pharmaceuticals consistently have one of the lowest actual theft rates.
