More capacity for frozen and refrigerated pharmaceuticals

MD Logistics is about to open newly fitted-out capacity at its 173,000-sq. ft. Plainfield, IN, DC, with most of the expansion devoted to cold-chain pharma products. The $3.7-million expansion will add 50 jobs to the company, which now has around 1 million sq. ft. of total capacity in Plainfield and Reno, NV.

The project is being lauded by the state of Indiana, whose government has proposed a 20-year plan to fund road and bridge infrastructure; the state wants to be known as the “Crossroads of America,” according to Governor Eric Holcomb. “To take our state’s economy to the next level, we need companies not just to locate in Indiana—but to stay and grow in our communities,” he said. “MD Logistics is one of many Hoosier companies doing just that, and they play a vital role in making Indiana a magnet for jobs.”
