
Meijer Expands Access to Wegovy and Ozempic With New Offering

The Midwestern retailer is helping to make GLP-1s more affordable by now accepting savings programs available with NovoCare.1
Per the aforementioned program, Meijer pharmacy locations will be providing these drugs at discounted out-of-pocket prices. Patients who are new to these coupon programs can access the two lowest-dose version of Wegovy or Ozempic injection pens for $199 per month during their first two months, as long as the prescriptions are filled by March 31, 2026.
Following this promotional period, a majority of dose levels jump to $349 per month, while the highest Ozempic dose stands at $499 per month.

There were originally rumblings2 that the platform was supposed to be more of government-DTC site, meaning that patients would be able to purchase medicine directly through the platform, but that’s actually not the case. It turns out that the site doesn’t sell medications—it offers a coupon card that individuals can either use at pharmacies or at the participating manufacturers’ websites, with the exception of some specialty drugs.
What other healthcare services is Meijer adding for patients?
Meanwhile, Meijer is building off its momentum of boosting wellness, as it also collaborating with healthcare platform WellSync to offer customers greater access to virtual healthcare services for everyday health conditions, such as cold, flu, allergies, hair loss, and others.3 For a fee of $29.99 per visit, insurance is not needed, and services can be accessed by visiting the Meijer website or pharmacy app.
