The track-and-trace systems provider expands its life sciences portfolio by integrating the high-speed, adaptable ETF-300 precision labeler through a partnership that brings Industry 4.0-ready capabilities, advanced printing tech, and enhanced data security to pharmaceutical packaging.
Antares Vision Group, a provider of track-and-trace systems for several fields including the life sciences, is growing its solutions portfolio to now include precision labeling equipment. The company is collaborating with Siempharma, a manufacturer of packaging machines, by welcoming the ETF-300.1
This machine is capable of working with containers ranging from 40-180 mm in height, and 22-80 mm in diameter. It can apply labels as tall as 100 mm at speeds of up to 80 meters per minute. The unit is also able to switch between various container and label sizes; changeover only takes 15-30 minutes.
The ETF-300 Labeler can adapt to multiple types of printing tech, such as thermal ink jet, thermal transfer, and laser. It also supports Industry 4.0 standards, signifying that the ETF-300 Labeler is programmed to comply with the implementation of track & trace. One of the ways it does so it with cameras that can check variable data OCR-OCV and barcodes. It even has an endless screw setup for to allow for product distancing, tight tolerance reject processes, minimum and maximum load control, and conveyor belt protection tunnels.
Stakeholders may recall that several years ago, the company—through rfxcel’s San Ramon, CA location— attained ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management systems (ISMS).2
The certification demonstrates rfxcel’s integration of technologies and best practices to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data while managing risks. As customers share serialization and other supply chain data, their needs for security, system controls, and governance grows. rfxcel’s advancements within its controls and technology help customers comply with international security standards and regulations.
“We have strategies to manage the performance, quality, and effectiveness of our products and services,” said Glenn Abood, CEO of rfxcel. “Our customers have the assurance that their data is strictly controlled, stored, and protected.”
