Packaging manufacturers partner up in effort to help tackle pharma’s demand for recyclable packaging.
Two packaging manufacturers—Perlen Packaging AG and Etimex Primary Packaging—are joining forces to establish the polypropylene (PP) monoblister in the pharma industry. The two packaging specialists are working together to meet the growing demand for recyclable packaging solutions in this aforementioned sector.
The parties’ objective is to jointly market and distribute Etimex’s PP Monoblister product. Both companies are known in the market for their individual and specialized blister solutions that play a role with regard to environmental protection, sustainable and responsible use of resources and CO2 emissions reduction. Sustainability aspects also constitute an increasingly important competitive factor in the pharma industry, which makes sustainable packaging a logical step toward future viability for customers.
“We are responding to our customers’ requests and expanding our existing PVC/PVdC product range,” says Lars Kirchhoff, Perlen Packaging’s chief sales officer. “The cooperation with Etimex enables us to offer a tried and tested, fully recyclable solution based on polypropylene from a single source.”
