There is never a quiet moment to step into a new role, and joining Pharmaceutical Commerce as editor has been no exception.

I stepped into this role with a lot of curiosity and a healthy respect for the work this publication has always done. Covering pharmaceutical commercialization means covering something that genuinely matters. How drugs get to patients, who can afford them, and how the systems that move and protect them are evolving; these are not abstract questions. They have real consequences for real people, and the professionals working on them deserve a publication that takes that seriously.

What has struck me most in my early weeks is how much is happening at once. The articles in this issue alone span AI-driven supply chain decisions, cold chain resilience, DSCSA compliance, self-pay market dynamics, MFN pricing policy, NDC coding risks, class of trade research, rural patient access, and more. That is not a sprawling list. It is a snapshot of an industry managing simultaneous transformation across nearly every function.

I find that genuinely exciting to cover. And I hope you find it useful to read.

My commitment is straightforward: to make sure this publication reflects the real work being done in this space, asks the right questions, and gives you something worth your time every issue. We have strong contributors, a sharp editorial focus, and a lot of ground to cover.
